About Me
My name is Xeni, and I don't have a story about how I found my grandfather's camera in my teenage years and got into photography. My story is a little different.
I have always loved everything beautiful — not just to look at, but also to photograph. I always took photos with my phone, and like many others, my memory got filled with hundreds of photos and videos — from simple shots to entire stories. Sometimes, I managed to take a "real" camera (though it wasn't mine) and capture important moments, but it all remained just a hobby.
Everything changed two and a half years ago when I moved to Bali. This island captured me instantly: the ocean, the rice terraces, the majestic sunsets — it felt like nature itself was asking to be captured. I took pictures of everything I saw with my phone, and in my soul, I began to realize that I wanted something more.
My main work was related to retouching and photo editing, but over time, I felt I wanted more. I didn’t just want to edit other people’s shots, but also create my own stories. This realization came to me after a year on the island, but I had a problem — I didn’t have a camera, and I couldn’t save up for one.
And then, on my birthday, I received an unexpected and amazing gift — my first camera! This was the beginning of my journey as a photographer. I immediately got to work: I took photos of my friends, landscapes, and tried to capture the magic of the island in every shot. Of course, at first, I had many fears — I was afraid of making mistakes, of missing the right moment. My hands shook, but the inspiration kept growing.
I understand that this is just the beginning of my journey in the world of photography. I am full of enthusiasm to move forward, explore, experiment, and open new horizons.
Each photo for me is not just an image, but an opportunity to capture a moment, convey the atmosphere, and catch feelings. I dream that my photos will inspire others — to see the extraordinary in the ordinary, to feel the beauty in simple things.
Though my journey is just beginning, I am ready to move forward, seek, learn, and share every discovery with you. 🫶🫂
